Have you been in jams where someone asks you to kick off a bluegrass song you know… but in the key of C?
This class is for you!
By learning a new song kickoff each week we’ll discuss how the melody lays out in the key of G, how to transpose the melody to the key of C, some great licks and different places they can fit into your solos.
All songs will be learnt from high quality videos played slowly, sent to students a week ahead of each class. This class is tablature free, ear training is encouraged.
Students will have the chance to play the song for their classmates, get feedback and ask questions during this interactive class.
For the final class, students will create their own solo for a song incorporating licks and ideas learned from the first five weeks of class.
